DESIGN OF THE SUPPORTING STRUCTURE

The main structure is our own design and is particularly functional. It is made with cold-pressed sheet metal elements that also serve the purpose of smoke transportation, combined with one of our two available smoke filters. The special design of the so-called box beams creates a structure that is particularly rigid and suitable for supporting thick sheets.

A multilingual interface software, including Italian, intuitive and functional, allows importing vector graphics in DXF format. The process parameters, initial piercing, and cutting settings characteristic of the material and thickness to be processed can be easily imported and applied. The selection of assist gas and its pressure is fully automated. An integrated control system dynamically maintains a constant height value relative to the surface, even in the presence of warped or vibrating sheets. Exclusively in the 3kW version, the focal height relative to the sheet surface is also automatically managed according to the process parameters set by the operator.

Convenient drawers, easily pull-outable in both directions for storing scrap or smaller parts, are located throughout the entire work area.

Our flatbed cutting machines come standard equipped with a localized smoke extraction system. This means there are multiple zones that open automatically based on the cutting area. At the rear of the machine, there are ports to connect to a centralized extraction system, if installed at the factory, or alternatively to a filtration system available as an optional accessory, offered in two versions with either 2 or 4 cartridges of different power ratings.

To meet the most stringent requirements in terms of workplace safety and environmental management, the machine can be equipped with a standard full enclosure or one custom-made according to the customer’s specific needs.

The fiber laser cutting system is as versatile as plasma cutting and can be used in a wide range of applications for cutting various metal materials (steel alloys, aluminum, brass). However, it boasts greater precision, especially within the 0.1–5 mm thickness range, allowing for shapes and details unachievable with plasma cutting. This makes it particularly beneficial for metalworking and precision mechanical fabrication.

Our product offering includes a range of flatbed fiber laser cutting machines available in three standard sizes:

There are two power levels available for the MaxPhotonics laser source, corresponding to two types of cutting heads:

Basic Solution – 1.5 kW

Equipped with manual focus height adjustment (to be set with every material or thickness change).
This version is designed with simplicity and robustness in mind — ideal for workshops requiring a flexible and cost-effective tool that still offers superior precision compared to plasma cutting across a wide variety of metallic materials.

Electrical Requirements

The electrical efficiency of a fiber laser is approximately 25%, which means that for 1 kW of laser power, approximately 4 kW of electrical power is required.
To this, one must add additional power for motion systems, cooling units, and ventilation.
